Hard to believe that he was 72 as I grew up watching Kung Fu (though haven't seen an episode in quite a few years). Guess I'm getting older as well.

Initial reports say that he was found hanging in his Bangkok hotel room - where he was filming. Truly sad if this was a suicide, he always seemed to be happy in life.


He had this laid back coolness to him, in a weird way. If anyone else did the things he did in his approach to life we'd be dorks (though he was thought of as odd for quite awhile), but him it worked for.

I have always wondered what Kung-Fu would've been like with Bruce Lee instead of David, but he did make the most of the series and became the character. He did a great job with it and it's hard to imagine anyone else in that role.

Kill Bill gave his career a jump start after some seemingly dead years after Kung-Fu (even though he accomplished a lot in the in-between time). He was pretty much a badass in the movie and was cool again.

Condolences to his family, friends and fans. I'm going to have to dig up some of the old Kung-Fu episodes and watch them again.
